Membership is awarded to musically trained women who are practicing singers and who meet at least on of the following criteria.

 •  Leaders of a Baptist church music program in     Virginia (paid or volunteer),

 •  Denominational Workers,

 •  Instrumentalists serving regularly as     accompanists for church music organizations,

 •  Leaders of other Baptist Music programs,

 •  Former members of the Virginia Baptist Women’s     Chorale, or

 •  Wives of paid church staff members.

Requirements

1.   Attend all rehearsals and concerts (usually four       per year).

2.   Learn all the music prior to rehearsals

3.   Abide by the Membership Guidelines of the       Chorale.

4.   Financial Obligations include:

     A.  Annual membership dues:

           New members:             $10.00

           Returning members:     $20.00

     B.   Purchase of a black, long-sleeved, floor-            length dress (or skirt and blouse) and black               shoes.

     C.   Retreat Lodging and meals (est. $50.00)
